Four Westchester Residents Charged With DWI In State Police Stops

More than a dozen motorists were removed from the road by New York State Police troopers in the Hudson Valley this past weekend.

Those charged include: 

Westchester County

  • On Friday, April 26, State Police from Hawthorne arrested Derek C. O’Donnell, 40, of Yorktown, for DWI. He was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in Yorktown, when he was involved in a three-car personal injury motor vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, April 28, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Jhony F. Loja Jimenez, 29, of Peekskill, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 9 in Croton-on-Hudson, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, April 28, State Police from Hawthorne arrested Roger L. Wright, 50, of Yonkers, for Aggravated DWI with a prior conviction, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, both felonies, Resisting Arrest, and Obstruction of Governmental Administration, both misdemeanors. He was traveling on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Greenburgh, when he was found disabled on the shoulder of the parkway. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, April 28, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Jhonathan D. Paca Cubi, 25, of Peekskill, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 9 in Croton-on-Hudson, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

Putnam County

  • On Friday, April 26, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Virginia B. Curran, 54, of Philipstown, for DWI. She was traveling on Sprout Brook Road in Philipstown, when she was involved in a one-car motor vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  •  On Saturday, April 27, 2019, State Police from SP Dover Plains arrested Elisabeth Daprile, 57, of Patterson, for DWI. She was traveling on State Route 55 in Pawling, when she was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed she was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, April 27, State Police from Brewster arrested Sabas E. Coronado, 41, of Southeast, for Aggravated DWI with 2 prior convictions, a class D felony. He was traveling on Deans Corner Road in Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

Dutchess County

  • On Saturday, April 27, State Police from Poughkeepsie arrested John Lusby, 30, of Dover, for Aggravated DWI Leandra’s Law, a class E felony. He was the subject of a suspicious person complaint on Route 44 in Pleasant Valley. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol with a child under 5-years-old in the vehicle, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, April 27, State Police from Stormville arrested Leo J. Schnetzler Jr., 23, of Millbrook, for DWI. He was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in East Fishkill, when he was involved in a one-car motor vehicle crash. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, April 28, State Police from Rhinebeck arrested Shamel L. Tolbert, 35, of Hyde Park, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 9 in Hyde Park, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, April 28, State Police from Hawthorne arrested Patrick J. Pocsics, 59, of East Fishkill, for DWI. He was traveling on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Greenburgh, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
